Our History

The company was founded by Paul Wray, a veteran in sourcing and quality assurance who saw a growing demand for honest, transparent QC partners in Asia. Having spent decades on the ground working with both Western buyers and Asian factories, Paul identified a critical gap in the market, the need for quality control providers who not only understand the language and processes but also the cultural nuances of both sides. Modern Outlook was born out of that vision, combining technical expertise with real human relationships. James my Son is my right hand man in the family business and has undergone extensive training and is now a major key member of the QC/QA management team here in China.

We believe that quality control is not just about ticking boxes, it’s about protecting your reputation, reducing your risk, and building sustainable partnerships. That’s why we take a proactive approach to every project. We don’t just respond to problems; we anticipate them. Although our clients are based around the world, we operate on the ground in South East Asia. Our main hub is in Dongguan, China, but our services extend to surrounding regions including Vietnam, Thailand, and beyond. Because we live and work in the regions where your products are made, we’re able to offer fast, informed, and responsive service—without the language barriers or time zone delays.
